Awakening Festival has always been on top of the best electronic music festivals in the world. Proof of this is the great list of artists who join the excellent line up every year.

It is hard to miss a name among such quality because the festival has 7 areas with different environment where different DJs are dedicated to putting the best techno of the year.

On Saturday, June 29, it began at 12:00 a.m. with the first arrival of techno lovers who did not want to waste a minute under the sun listening to any of the 6 artists who were making us dance incessantly. The buses returned to carry out a perfect transport service from the different meeting points to the entrance of the festival.

William Dioko, Juan Sánchez, Spokenen or Claire Morgan were some of those in charge of initiating the Awakening 2019.

Much sound quality from the first moment, spectacular open-air style stages such as area V, W, B and C. The remaining 3 areas were covered stages where you could hear the darkest and most powerful sessions. Noteworthy is the magnificent live set of 999999999, Rebekah or Fjaak.

There was also time to enjoy sessions in B2B format, such as Matrixxman and O (Phase), Bart Skils and Victor Ruiz, Dj Rush and Fernanda Martins, as well as the strong sound of the couple Attention Deficit Disorder (AnD and Dasha Rush).

We can say that we were very lucky with the weather experienced in the festival, the high temperatures favored that people could dance in the sun and cool off in the different areas enabled for them. Fountains with drinking water where you could refill the water bottle and different areas with cold water sprinklers to cool down and acclimatize the body.

If there is anything that characterizes Awakening Festival is its good organization. Not all festivals can boast of having a space of so many dimensions where you can place food areas (focused on the different tastes of the consumer), cleaning, purchasing tokens and exchanging them for drinks.

We always have to thank the low prices they set from the organization of the festival, as well as giving gifts to the first attendees such as sunglasses to enjoy the event better. In addition to the effort and insistence by the organization of the festival for the maintenance of clean space and care. To this end, measures such as the recycling of glasses or the distribution of different garbage dumps throughout the site were used.

All designed so that technolovers can enjoy a unique event. From a magnificent place to enjoy the best techno of the year, thanks to some stages accompanied by audiovisuals that made the difference in each session.

Special mention for the closures of this nineteenth edition: Joris Voorn, Pan-Pot, Nina Kraviz, Charlotte de Witte, Sam Paganini or Joseph Capriati; which did not hesitate to put the icing on the cake with sessions worth remembering, adapting to the techno that had been heard in their respective tents and always accompanied by a very dedicated audience who did not want to miss the last moments of the festival.

On Sunday, the 30th, in addition to the many artists who repeated in the booth of one of the areas of Awakening (Pan-Pot, the Italian Joseph Capriati or Sam Paganini …) we must highlight the very professional start of Artbat in Area X, where later Mind Against would delight with a very melodic session; SHDW & Obscure Shape knew how to live up to the rest of the artists in their tent (Area Y), since it is not easy to share line up with Dave Clarke, Dax J or Amelie Lens.

Area A had quality from start to finish thanks to the shocking sessions of Antigone, Perc (live) B2B Ansome (Hybrid set) or the more than expected German Kobosil, which after the creation of its label R-Label is completing a year 2019 attending numerous festivals.

Natural Selection (Óscar Mulero, Reeko, Exium) again made a difference in a two-hour set, where we could listen to the most classic sounds of Spanish techno.

The farewell of the Awakening 2019 was in the hands of artists like Jeff Mills and his inseparable vinyl, the cane Amelie Lens, Adam Beyer, Ben Klock, Richie Hawtin, Dj Rush, Kölsch and, the unbeatable Helena Hauff, with two hours of session that none of the attendees were left with a bad taste in their mouths.

An edition to remember and with the desire put on the 20th anniversary of next year.

Awakening is already preparing its next event: Drumcode Festival 2019, on August 24 and 25. Soon you will have more news about this event, so stay tuned and do not miss the opportunity to listen to Adam Beyer’s team in action. Click here to get your ticket and all the information about the event.
